The Solana is actually The Sol Pelicanos hotel. All the scenes filmed there are only by a cordoned off area of the pool. The reception to the Solana is filmed in The Architects house which is a pink house down Dr Sevaro the road where El Raco is situated and also the road of The Benidorm Palace : a venue which puts The Moulin Rouge to shame. A fab night out and good first class food if you choose to include it. The Black Chicken is ok, small but great atmosphere. Most of our friends prefer The Palladium next door. Some brilliant karioke singers who like to show case themselves but it's an afternoon venue so closes at 7 pm to get ready to open as a night club. At 7 we move on to the Why Not a little up the road. Almafra, is a good site in Alfaz del pi : a bus ride from Beni and quieter. The pool quite small and not open in the winter and the restaurant and club house very nice. However a bit out of the way for us party animals. Most of our snow bird friends prefer Villasol, a site which is a short walk into centre of Beni but our choice for the winter is Villamar, the sister site.to Villasol. A great club, beautiful pools on the Albir road but still only 20 min walk into Benidorm. Wherever you say, nowhere beats Benidorm with its own micro climate . Jeanette

Much to far out of town for me, but I do like Wednesday pie night. Its not £6-50 by the way, its 6-50 Euros.

The site right on the sea front in Albir is a great location. I know it isn't Benidorm, but it is only a short bus ride away.

You must mean the one half way between Albir and Altir....Parking is very close together and your van will get a good coating of salt water on a stormy day if you are on the front row...BUSBY:):)

The only problem with Cap Blanche is there are to many trees which is not what you want if looking for winter sun. Also Albir is 25% more epensive eating out or if you take the odd beer.

Cap Blanc not to bad near the gate,, trees seem to be further back. Quite expensive though for what it offers...no bar no restaurant no pool. BUSBY.

We have an apartment in Finestrat (just next to Benidorm) so if you need anywhere checking out just let me know. I'll be back there in a couple of weeks and I'll gladly pop in if you let me know which sites you need info from. Heck, I might even be able to negotiate a good deal for you whilst I'm there in person :)

Bus and tram route, both excellent, but not so good for bikes as the road is very busy.

You can cycle to Benidorm and Altir without going on a main road,,excellent safe cycling all around if you ask...plenty of quiet lanes. BUSBY:):)
