Off to Belgium soon and will be looking to buy Tabacco (for own use).

Any suggestions where to get best deals?

    Thanks

    As above...
Adinkerke and you will find all prices are the same....

You might get a free coke and some chocolates at some places...

Just follow the road up from Bray Dunes, just into Belgium garage and shop on right hand side, they sell most brands of cigarettes and tobacco. Further up the road you will come to "fag alley" many more shops selling cigarettes etc. We have found in the past that the little garage/shop has the best prices. Co-ords 51.070466, 2.564371 on the N39.

    Usually cheap diesel too.

    Yup ditto...
On the old main road from France (N39?), just inside the Belgium border. You used to be able to see the remnants of the border post. Not sure if they are still there...

    On tour!
    Agree with all the above!
A few of the shops also have very large car parks where you can overnight too!

    post script..

used to do a day trip in the car, since we both quit a couple of years ago I actually miss the baccy run.. nice day out..

but not the smoking.. in fact if it hadn't been for the duty free baccy we would probably have quit years beforehand.

There is no best deal in Belgium
All shops must charge the same price.

In theory, yes, but they don't all give the same exchange rate/freebies etc.

I get mine at TabacXL in Adinkerke.

They usually chuck in a load of lighters and chocolates.

It used to be best to pay cash in £ , but I think it's cheaper now to pay in €

It is now ilegal to give gifts with tabaco products.
I dont say they dont do it but they have so much to lose if caught.

Tabaco real xl, it's the supermarket with the Blues Brothers outside.
All tabaccoalley products plus many others, all the chocs have an open box at the front of the display so you can try before you buy.
Free coffee machine to the left upon entry.
Havn't been since we quit, miss the trip really.

    Cheers. Nige

That's the one I go to. But the lighters they gave me have TabacXL on them.

Perhaps because its illegal to give gifts:D

I always feel a bit sleazy in the Adinkerke shops.

    I don't know why.
