Hi everyone, I have a question for you.http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/beeney-boxes.124807/

I made an appointment with Paul of Beeney Boxes to have him fit 2 for me today. I spoke with him on the 'phone and we exchanged texts and an appointment was agreed. Today, I drove 250 miles from my home in Swansea to Camborne for the work to be done but when I arrived there, I was told by Mike Roberts (of Mike Roberts Garage next to Paul's place), that Paul had sadly passed away and his funeral in tomorrow morning. This would explain why I have had no reply to my texts sent yesterday and today. Sad news indeed.

Thanks Jim, I wonder if anyone has used Genie Boxes?

Haven't heard of anyone Dave.. but they speak highly of themselves..

The motorhome side of the business started about fifteen years ago when Jim Snr was asked on a Hymer Club rally about making a slide out storage drawer in the Camper Skirt. Spreading mostly by word of mouth, the quality of our Genie Drawers speak for themselves. How to recognise our Genie drawers? Its easy! Just look for the one with two locks and the quality of our mounting chassie, not to be compared with other lesser products from other suppliers.

I thought this had come up before.

If you search Genie Box there are quite a few threads about them. (y)

Paul died, He'd bought the patent from Beeny.

Beeny went on to do bespoke Vans for a select few. Supply the VAN, and £12k and he would make you the van of your dreams. Don't know if he's still at it tho. BUT! there is a mob in Penryn that did/does? a similar kinda thing
