Stayed there early December. Lovely quiet aire overlooking cathedral, gorgeous views specially when lit up at night. As mentioned, coming off main road, hill very steep, but only for about 100 yards then you turn right.

We're at the Beauvais St Quentin Site today opposite Hyper U. There's designated bays for 4 to 5 vans. It's on a main road but that doesn't bother us. The town is a 10 minute walk away. The cathedral is huge and beautiful inside. There's plenty shops and coffee bars to entertain too. Diesel is €1.02 at Hyper U and McDonald's is next to the Hyper U for wifi. We would stop here again.

Briare, next to the cannal and river.
Sadroc, free elec and water, good for overnight stop
Sarlat, lovely town

Stayed at the Beauvais aire two weeks ago. 4 vans there at the time. As mentioned very steep hill up to it but very quiet area overnight. Full service area to sort your tanks.

I have previously stayed on the Briare one beside the canal and would also recommend that one
