Hi all,

we got bored dealing with financial matters which are keeping us from travelling, so we loaded up "Elvis the Elddis" and set of for Cheddar.

We drove up the spectactular gorge and parked up to buy tickets for cave tours and visit tourist info to find a campsite.

What a result!!! they recommended us to try here...

Cheddar Bridge Caravan Camping Site, Somerset - ADULTS ONLY

so off we trundled to be met by a lovely friendly welcome to one of the prettiest sites we have visited, even the washing up room is quaint. The toilets, showers and all facilities are top notch, and spotless, and the site itself was a balanced mix of tents caravans and MH's.

There are no children under 18 allowed, so its not for everyone, but if you are in the Cheddar area it is well worth a visit. Prices were £11.00 per night per camper/tent/caravan with 2 adults. EHU was £2.00.

I like adult only sites from time to time.

Could they take an RV?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

BTW:- I like all singing and dancing sites other times especially out of season if they have a sauna:thumb:

Hi Road Runner, sadly I dont think you'd get an RV over the narrow and humpy bridge over the river at the entrance, followed by a sharpish turn. No probs for a largish MH, we saw 6 wheel autotrail in there, but not an RV. Just my oppinion mind, I've never actually driven one on the "biggies" ::bigsmile::Eeek:
