I fancy a trip to Beamish for their Christmas celebrations, anybody know of any decent spots to overnight nearby ????

See this recent thread. We were there with the MCC a couple of weeks ago so were able to use our ticket on three consecutive days without extra travelling.

Well that campsite appears to shut about the end of October and not open again till March.

    Next suggestion?

We've never been and I've always fancied it, so that's why I looked !

Durham CC site isn't far away. You can get a bus from the P&R across the road into Durham and another bus direct from Durham to Beamish.
