I have found several spots recently to park but reading the small print on my breakdown recovery conditions of membership, that if I am recovered from " soft ground, sand or shingle" I will have to pay for the cost of recovery !!!
For example near southport is Ainsdale beach where you pay £3 a day to park, if theres anyone there to collect it, and campers often stay over night. I spoke with a ranger and he said they turn a blind eye if its just a single night and they have tractors available to help anyone stuck in the sand. Now my RV I think can only be towd on a grid or winched onto a low loader or do you know different ?
I am planning on wintering in spain wild camping as much as possible and am told many park on beaches there.
Does this also mean I can only use campsites with hard standing ???
