Battery on Ducato x250 (1 Viewer)

Any ideas guys the main starter battery on my Ducato and I tried a charge on my very old battery charger that worked on most of my charging but after 24 hours on charge its still flat, mind you it is a 2009 original battery from when the van was new so thats nearly eight years.
Am i being tight trying to revive it or should i just buy a new one.

Make sure its not a faulty earth strap.
