- many many years! since I was a kid
a nail gun. some double sided tape, some cable, cable terminals a hammer and a lot of swearing 
seriously best place is near the leisure battery. connect the wires as in the diagram that should of been included. otherwise red to leisure battery +ve black to -ve. brown to engine battery +ve
couldn't be easier really
