Your controller should have an extra set of terminals, marked 'load' put a multi tester across those in the daytime, you should get a reading if it is working.
Great that sounds easy enough, I'll check it tomorrow.
Best Wishes Tony

On most regulators the load terminals are live all the time
It is the number of volts that shows whether there is a charge of not

Hi Techno just ordered the pair of batteries, do they come with the nuts for the screw post? Also I've ordered a second harness from Sargent so I can couple up the batteries without any conversion, until I get time to convert the cables to better ones, If ever I do.LOL.
Many Thanks Tony

It's four batteries in parallel connected with 35mm welding cable

Hi Techno
I have been looking at my batteries setup and it looks like it will have to stay as it is, Autotrail in it’s infinite wisdom has made it so tight to get at the top of the batteries with them in place it would be very difficult to start connecting leads in situ, what a stupid setup:mad:. So not sure how to proceed when connecting two more batteries in the next compartment but I certainly won’t be able to use 35mm welding cable like you but probably something a little more substantial than Autotrail’s original wire. I’m beginning to dislike Autotrails thinking:(. Just out of interest about the 35mm welding wire you use, what does the 35mm relate to, I can’t believe it’s the diameter as that is just under 1 ½”? what is the diameter of the wire you use?

Many Thanks Tony

All cable sizes are cross sectional area of the conductor
