i would think it should as same vans apart from trim and engines did you get the right flahes when clearing and a steady light when cloning?

Yes, tried it a couple of times and it all went by the book. I note that it does say if it doesn't work first time, keep trying - so I may have another go with the fobs aligned differently. When I can summon up the interest...

You're stuck to paying Fiat prices if you want a second remote/key fob unfortunately ...

We got an extra one for our previous PVC and kept it when we sold the van as we were looking to get it re-programmed for the new one ... not a flaming chance!

My fob came today, our van is Peugeot X250 based and the fob does not work, I've tried several times got the right flashes, I've even tried it on our Nissan Micra and still won't work.

As you may have read above, I cannot get it to work on my Relay and it appears from this page that the Ducato may be different to the Boxer/Relay?

It works fine with my 2009 Peugeot. I tried to programme the bottom red button with the Van Bitz Strikeback remote but it wouldn't accept the code.

Incidentally, the original remote has a transponder chip embedded in the fob which is paired to a chip in the ignition key surround when the key is inserted. The spare key has the transponder embedded in the plastic part of the key. Without the correct transponder the engine won't start and it's this that makes an additional key so expensive.

Should it work with all X250s or only on Fiats? I have just tried and failed with my 2014 Relay....

Ours is also 2014 perhaps it won't work on the later fobs.

I bought one for the fiesta and it doesn't work, it is probably a rolling code on the Ford. BUT the second attempt wiped the genuine key and it wouldn't work after that until I reprogrammed it from the ECU details, it now works but the new fob is going to operate the garage door from now on.

There are anomalies in the change between x250 x290 in vin numbers but as @Minxy Girl posted the visual difference is obvious

Mines a 2010 fiat x250 and unfortunately it won't work. I get the right sequence of flashes but nothing activates. I've tried it with the remotes in different positions as suggested in the instructions but no difference.

Having had no success on my 2010 van I nipped over the road to my neighbour and his 2007 van and had immediate success.

While they are both x250 the key fob is different.

Mine is quite oval like this

and my neighbours is more rectangular like this

I'm not sure what year fiat changed the fob but it looks a bit like this is what determines whether it will work or not.

Nope, won't work on mine. Anyone want a free fob? Trouble is, the stamp will probably cost as much as the fob cost new! I will take it to the Malvern show and first one can have it.

Step-1 Clear the history code from duplicator
1. Press button A and B continuously until LED flash 3 times
2. Release button B (Keep pressing button A),and press button B Slowly for 3 times, LED flash
3. Release button A,finish code clearance.
If code clearance done properly, short press any button. Light won't flash at all.
If light flash when short press any button clearance process done wrong. Please repeat clearance process again.

Step-2 Copy code from original transmitter
Place the cloner remote and the original remote close together side by side. Make sure they are touching.
1. Simultaneously press a button on your original remote and one of the buttons on the clone remote and hold until the LED on the clone remote flashes steadily. The Blue LED will first flash 3 times quick, then stops for a second, then flashes steadily.
2. Release both buttons. Programming is successful. Copy other buttons in same way.
Even if everything done correct sometimes copying process failed. Repeat all programing process again and use different remotes position Face to face, back to back, like T Position.
