Not long enough!
Bought a seagate external hard drive recently, set it all up to backup automaticaly with the suppied software (memeo instant backup) only to find it was a trial and they want me to pay £22:Angry: grrrr I think not.

What do you guys use?:thumb:

11yrs, but many years a tugger.
Acronis, or mark and just copy the files to the drive. Always though have two, better three, backup destinations, and store the latest one off site. Cheapo memory sticks are good for this, particularly if the files are smallish. ::bigsmile:

Do Windows not have built in software like the Mac Time Machine?
Which you can set to copy content and all changes on your hard drive to either an external driver or a partition on your internal hard drive.

Since 2005
I have my hard disk partitioned into 2. One for software the other for data.

I then use clonezilla to make a backup of the full system partion.

the data partition I either copy files to an external drive or use filesync..
