A bit of a moan really. We got back on Tuesday night. In Spain we were buying a decent cup of coffee for a Euro each and you got a free digestive biscuit. In the UK one coffee cost £3.50. We bought some fish for yesterday's tea, that cost nearly £9 pounds, in Spain, similar white fish cost €5. Today buying groceries at ASDA cost nearly £70 and at Carrefours in Elche a similar basket including a couple of bottles of wine was €51.
Plus, don't let me forget the cost of fuel, the quality of the roads and no parking charges at all. Where have we gone wrong?
Looking forward to going back. Anyone looking forward to their hols, enjoy.

Totally agree, we have lived here for the past 17 years, however we can remember the Peseta days when a menu with wine cost 1000 pts, and at 270 to the pound, work that one out for yourself.
Most winter visitors to Spain know what savings they are making, together with sunny winter days this is still the number one location.
Now for the bad side, we are going to the UK in July, HOW MUCH IS THAT!!!!!!! Amazing how things change.
