Avtex usb record or not (1 Viewer)

We have a Avtex tv/sat tv which has a great picture image and watch from the Usb stick films ect.
Trying to record to usb, is fine but as soon as you put tv on standby it stops recording.
Surly the record facility is to record programmes when we are out.
So what are we doing wrong, anyone with a Avtex please help

I also have this problem and the only (partial) solution I have found is to put the tv to standby before it is due to start recording. So no good really if you are half way through watching something and then decide to do something different and want to record.

I use the Avtex as a second tv at home and so can easily plan to record when I'm not planning on using it to watch anything at all.

Tried it and works fine. What formats apart from mp4 will they play.

From the USB, I think just that and JPEG -mines a L186DRS so I'm not sure about other models
