Avtex TV needs frequent retune (1 Viewer)

We have an 18 month old, 18" Avtex and find that it does not always hold the channels. Sometimes it keeps the channels for a couple of days, other times switch it off (standby using remote) and back on and it needs re-tuning

I did complain to Avtex last year and they explained how to reset the TV and this seemed to help. Thought that after that the problem was only occurring when the signal was weak. But on a recent trip I found it happening when connected through the CC site Ariel system

Is this a problem that others find or should I be in touch with Avtex?

I have both a 18" and 21 " avtex and don't have a problem with tuning, when I move I lock on to the satellite and all my previous channels come straight back on the TVs

We had an issue with the free to air satellite channel receiver in ours, whilst the channel map was not entirely lost, the audio for each channel was lost after moving sites, which then necessitated a re-tuning exercise to recover it (should not be necessary). Sent TV away to Avtex who fixed and returned it FOC.

I think you should follow up with Avtex.
