Autotrail 700 v Bailey 760 v Bessacarr E495 (1 Viewer)

Without wanting to cause a fight, does anyone have an opinion on the above models re their positives or negatives for more or less permanent living. I have recently seen some lovely 2010/2012 examples of them all. As sure as we are that the layout is right for us are there any outstanding features/technicals that make them particularly suitable OR NOT? And living includes winter in Spain, "summer" in UK.

When you compare the bailey vs the Autotrail 700 look at outside locker space.
At first I liked the look of Bailey but when i went to see one in the flesh I thought where will I put all my stuff like chairs, awning etc etc etc.. You know all the stuff we tend to carry...
I have a 2012 apache 700 with large rear lockers and they also go right across the back of the van...

Not sure on weight of others but mine is 4250kg and has 730kg payload, thats with a pre-fitted awning included. Past few years we do 3 month trips and even carry a washing machine..

We looked at the early Baileys but like Tonka thought they were very lacking in storage space. We went for something else but changed to the new Bailey Autograph last year as the storage was greatly improved.

Well we very nearly bought a Bessacarr E945, the only reason we didn't was because the dealer wouldn't budge on his proce - his loss. We ended up with a Sundance 630, which is the same van with different stickers.
Would echo the above, you may find storage limited for full time usage, for us it is fine, since we use it only for weekend breaks and holidays.

There is no "higher spec". a 700 is a 700.. The only upgrade is usually the media pack and possibly alloy wheels as an option.. I think this lower rear floor came in from 2010. The bigger locker doors is the giveaway.
Some 700's also only have a locker door on 1 side and the rear does not go all the way through. They seemed to make changes all the times...

We have a 2004 AT 700 it has one locker door but can see whole of back of the seat bit. Fab van love the layout best desision we made.

We have the 760 and as only the 2 of us we store the chairs etc up on the Luton ( have bags for them)
Rear lounge unless you are over 6' you can sleep as 2 singles rather than make up the double
Blown air works well
Love the space
Negatives
Hot water takes ages to heat up after 1st shower
As wider than most MH's it can be daunting in small villages & narrow lanes
Can't comment on other vans

As for the Bessacarr E495 the same applies storage wise. A Guy round the corner from me has one and has added a backbox to give him the storage. We have an E795 which is the same layout but has plenty of storage for table and chairs from the outside.
