Autoquest 130 Water Solenoid (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know what the solenoid under the seat does. It could be one of two things in my mind

1) The cut off when filling the tank from mains,

2) A cut off to water in the van

Is it part of the daft Whale autofill system fitted to some Autoquests?

2011-2012 were the years I think they fitted it.

My van is a 2009, I'm slightly confused as the solenoid takes just over an amp so was looking at its operation for power conservation

Elddis have binned the Whale autofill now.
I think the idea was to be able to use your MH like a caravan, with an aquaroll. Why? I have no idea!
If it were mine, I would replace the lot with a standard water filler.

Is that just a question of changing the inlet and removing the solenoid do you have any suggestions

The Whale system seems OK if you only sit on serviced pitches or have an aquaroll. The fact you are conscious about your 12V power consumption suggest you are more independent than that and would be better off with a regular filler cap and filler hose fitted to your van.:thumb:

To be honest the 12v issue is only something that I think could be used to save power thats all. It seems to me that if you are drawing power to open a solenoid with no aquaroll a simple switch will surfice.
