When in France in 2015 I went through some foul weather I then had problems with my habition step, as it stuck in the open position and would not retract, I went to a local garage who removed the step for me, on returning to the UK the step was checked out and I was told it was a dirty solenoid switch, on going through some bad weather this year the same thing happened to my step and I had to call Red Pennant to have the step disconnected. I was wondering if other moterhomers have had this problem and what was the fix.

Thanks Whiskeymac

Mine has done that a couple of times and the answer was to clean the area around and the switch and it soon works again, until the next time. No cost just a little effort.
