Austria in November? (1 Viewer)

It wasn't really part of my original plan (not that I really have one) but as I appear to have bought myself a concert ticket to see my fave band in Vienna on Nov 18th it looks like I'm heading to Austria as part of my mid life crisis road trip.

Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can stay - as near to the centre of Vienna as possible as I'll be leaving my 3 dogs in the van for the 2 - 3 hours the gig is on and is there anything else I need to know/have handy for a road trip through Austria? I'm still very 'green' at all this motorhoming malarky so I'd like to be well prepared.

would hazzard a guess that you will need snowchains as i think its motoring law over there to carry them in readiness to put them on for snow covered roads
