Astra2Connect. Information wanted please (1 Viewer)

I am trying to do a little research about Astra2Connect.
Can you tell me if Skype (or any other VoIP service) works when you are working at the slower 64k speed?
Are you able to get both North and South beams on your controller?
Can you get TV and the internet at the same time?

Any pointers or other comments on the system would be very much appreciated.

have you looked at the astra2connect website.....?

skype should work on thatupload spped - for audio only yes - not not for video...there is not enough bandwidth for the video to upload!!

I dont think a2c is on the same satellites as the UK TV.....
UKTV is on Astra2 at 28 east
A2c is on Astra at 23.5

The FAQs on their site says you can get an adaption pack to allow for TV reception from Astra 2 and Astra 1 if required.
Unless you run two cables from the two LNBs I dare say you will not be able to get a2c and UK TV at the same time

Reception of north and south beams (i presume you mean for UK TV) will depend on the size of dish you are using...and where you are using it?
