Asci Sites Does It Matter What Pitch You Have? (1 Viewer)

booking various ACSI sites for the first time with different grades of pitches some just ehu some more expensive with water and drainage does the discount still apply to any pitch or is the discount just for a standard pitch?

when are you travelling? the discount I think only applies to out of season periods

You pay for a standard pitch.But you can pay extra to upgrade to better pitches.

Once on an ACSI site in the Vendee we asked if we could upgrade to a better pitch and they gave it to us for no extra charge. If it's quiet they might be happy to do that. Best to ask when you get there I think.

hyaif you look in the book it will show you the dates that you will get a discount....not every site is the same...also some have acsi pitches .. ie not sea view ...but they are excellent value.. enjoy your trip

While in Italy recently certain pitches were not available to ACSI members. Got plenty use out of the card though!

The published ASCI discount rate includes a pitch, MH, 2 adults, hot showers, electricity and VAT.

ASCI asks you to inform them if there is an attempt to charge you extra for any of those things.

Things that can be added are local (regional or municipal) taxes, reservation charges and hot water other than showers.

If you feel that you are being charged extra or being treated as second class the mere mention of a report to ASCI should get you satisfaction.

Having said that some sites do have premium pitches (size, view) that they normally charge extra for.

We were on an ACSI site in Switzerland and they allocated a row of about 6 pitches for the discount, our satellite signal was blocked by the trees and when we asked about a move we were told the rest of the site was charged full rate. We moved up a van or two the next day to get a signal but the pitches were 20 metres or so from a super toilet block so we had the best of both worlds.

Camping Joan in Cambrils Spain (Acsi 2432) states on web site Superior pitch at €16. Tried to book in advance but told not available for my dates (early June) - but other pitches available at €21 (the price for their superior pitches)???? Was this a try on ? In the end did not bother and went instead without a pre book to La Llosa Acsi 2434 If you go there look out for the trees Got a hole in my roof (See other posting!)
