I believe the "point" is that some of us enjoy responding to these fun polls...

I enjoy telling everyone

"I do not camp in my motorhome... I live in mine..."

I am NOT interested in all that "outdoor" milarky.

I would say the biggest difference amongst the motorhoming/caravanning fraternity stems from the starting point.

Many come from a background of camping in tents from a young age gradually changing modes of camping as age takes its toll and other factors come into play. Others come from a background of hotel based holidays and buy a motorhome/caravan in later life and do things a bit differently.

Generalisations I know but from personal observations.

I suppose that's whats good about MHF. Some see fun "Polls" as fun, others see them as a pointless waste of time. Either way people can state their view which is accepted by contributors and held to be valid as the next persons.

What's the point in this? Anyone that needs to ask this can't have gained their camping bug at an early age, adventures under canvas as a youngster, family holidays with tents or caravans. Surely, all campers, whatever mode of accommodation, have a 'common' core value and love of the outdoors, family time, socialising and the freedom camping has to offer. How you spend your time, the choice is yours and is endless. I would have thought that by the time you get to an age you consider retirement, you will have had a go at most methods of camping. Does that mean you change personality each time you change your gear.
Try speaking to people and form your own opinion if you actually don't know, you should be able to tell the difference, the ones who do it because it's in there blood will be having fun with family and friends, the ones to watch out for and don't get what it's all about will be stood with their head up their own ass.
Not everyone's the same, requirements, needs and circumstances along with personal taste usually dictates mode of accomodation.
Maybe a more worth while poll would be,
Does money buy Class? Yes/No
There's also a saying, '[HI]you can't polish a turd'[/HI]

pull up.. unhitch. 3 mins

wind down steadies.. 4 mins

kettle on 1min

Motorhome

pulls up and reverses.. gets stuck on grass .. front wheels spinning .. ploughs a furrow.

Site owner rescues with tractor.

Looks for hard standing and tries again..

Decides they need level ramps

Farts about for 5 mins trying to get level ..

30+ mins passed

Forgot to fill up water tank

Repeat process..
:ROFLMAO:

It can be spun anyway that suits.. thing is, what does it matter.. ??

Demeanour and attitude, no. Actions, yes - to the extent that caravanners trundle up and down with aquarolls and waste hogs - although I've also seen a few motorhomers doing this too. Both sets have been known to wear crocs and terrible shorts. ::bigsmile:

I won't go as far to say "I'll eat my words", but I obviously stand corrected.
This is why I find this forum so interesting and fun. I take my hat off to you for coming up with this clip, I must admit, I couldn't watch it for a couple of minutes for laughing, brilliant.
It just goes to show, there's always a funsters on here to help solve a problem. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
