There has been a couple of mentions of the city of Aranjuez on here and indeed we stayed at the ACSI site there last year.

Had a light bulb moment the other day and discovered this well known Classical song/tune is titled Aranjuez & is about the City

Helps with the pronunciation as well. Lovely music!

I discovered this in 1971 in a hotel bar in Benidorm - better known as a guitar piece. The barman used to put it on when I walked in!!
This is the version I have - by Narciso Yepes... one of my very favourite pieces...

I have John Williams Spanish Guitar Music which has several tracks named after places: Asturias, Canarios, Cordoba and Sevilla.
