Apple IPad...Anyone Got One Yet?? (1 Viewer)

Off to USA soon and considering buying one of those new fangle Apple Ipads

Anyone got one?? If so can you give me your comments both good and bad please.

I went into best buy last Thursday
salesmen said ccomes out 28may start price
is £429 but the ones with a sim slot
are £100 dearer top price£699.

Salesman did say when apple bought 1
into the shop to demo them
they couldn't touch just watch

first they got to touch was a I pad a
14 year old bought his imported one in

was thinking of one myself but I
have just bought a netbook instead
comes Saturday

Having spoken to a couple of friends in the USA that have one i think ill be giving it a miss till they bring out the Ipad 2.

Its lacking on quite a few fronts by all accounts and is basically a big Ipod touch with a faster processor and a bigger screen.

Its not got flash, a camera, built in GPS, option for an external keyboard etc etc etc.

Most of which i would expect will be available on the next version.

So ill keep me dosh in pocket for now and wait till they bring out the one everyone wants instead of the first offering!!

Played with one a few weeks back - I'm not going to bother :thumbdown:

It's just a big ipod touch really, plenty of posing power but that's about it - wait for a while til it does some useful things like a small computer can.
