Hi, is anyone travelling through France towards Spain this week, and if so how is it going? We have put off our trip, partly due to the weather, but some friends of ours did the same journey about 9 days ago, and had a torrid time (!) altho they eventually arrived safely. We are now looking at setting off next weekend, once the threatened snow on Wednesday has been and gone.
Thanks for any info available.

road conditions

hi
we crossed to france on the 9th of jan.
snow storm in folkestone before we left, and snow in northern france (scary) all the way as far as tours.
we used non toll roads and they were fairly clear a few snowdrifts across the roads.
after tours it cleared all the way down the n10 into spain up the n121a to pamplona.
then after zarragoza sone ginormous snow drifts but a23 clear.
now at albir a cool 15 degrees today.
check weather reports before you set off.
and most of all enjoy

Hi !

Walburga left my place this morning, he and his wife stopped here in Balma(near Toulouse , south West France) for the night before heading south to Spain down to Peniscola and then Benicasim .
So last news are: no more snow when crossing France. All roads are clear. They did it faster than they thought and arrived a day sooner than planed! So you're OK!:thumb::thumb:
