Anyone recommend wild camping location around La rochelle? (1 Viewer)

Hi, we're off to France next week and planning to travel down to the region near La Rochelle, anyway we are self contained and dont need or want a commercial camp site, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice on any areas, ideally near or on the coast. Cheers!

Hi Lee, There is a dump for waste and fresh watwer in La Rochelle and aire signs. The last time we stayed there we camped in the marina car park right alongside the boats......mind you, it rained, but there again it rained everywhere we went (that's the last time i follow the sun, ended up in Gibralter and found the sun had moved back to France...:Sad ) It's a bit of a walk into the town, but no problems if you are fit
