Finally took the plunge and bought the Turbovent 40. Now seems unlikely that I'll find anyone to fit it (it's replacing the mini Heki so no hole cutting) before we set off for our main holiday in 12 days. In any case I need to know the thickness of the Transit roof as if it's more than 4.5 cm I'll need to get an optional extension kit.

Thanks,

Phil

Hi Phil

Welcome to MH Fun:welcome:

Can't tell you the thickness of Transit roof, but had one fitted to a Renault and with the roof lining and slight gap between lining and roof we needed the extension kit. So would guess you will need the same.

Hope this helps

On my Tranny all the metal is roughly the thickness of Bacofoil. Sorry not much help to you.

Hi Phil and welcome :thumb: Tranny roofs are as near as dam 1 mm thick (metal) but the full thickness will depend on who did the conversion- would guess 35 mm ish in total. Why not undo the mini Heki from the inside (2 min job) then measure it?
