I've just bought a black and decker 18v cordless vac from Costco. Highly recommend it.

Been looking at them on eBay - is it with the hose which coils around it? Is there a saving to be had at Costco after adding the vat? My brother in law has a card for there.

That Dyson looks good and Siân want's one, but my experience of Dysons has not been good, had 3 and all ended up crocked for one reason or another. Swore I'd never buy another. When we moved to Wales in 2003 I bought a Miele, its been used every day since then and still works as good as it did on day one. A little too big for the van though.

Same as Jim, always had Dysons previously but after similar experiences to yourself we too bought a Miele, different class, this one could suck a golf ball through a hosepipe.....well maybe not but you get the idea

We needed a new vacuum for the house, wifey liked the look of the dyson 59, as we have a big dog ( as seen at Chester) we bit the bullet, and are very impressed. Good for the house, although not all at once. But great for the Motorhome.
I sometimes hear the buzzing of the dyson downstairs whilst I am having a morning cuppa in bed. I wonder how long that will last …

Been fancying one of these, are they good?
We think they are, battery lasts well and the free extension pipe is a bonus. Like most people we have taken up the MH carpets and just have a couple of mats down, which get a shake. We also have a dog so a quick vacuum keeps the MH spic and span!!

We always take carpets out, no dog we have a cat.
We got a roll end of flotex off eBay and used the original carpets as template. Easy fit remove and scrub if needed.
Thanks for reply will look to get one after our imminent trip away.

I still have my original Dyson dc4 which works very well ( I bought it in 1991). However the Dc59 is so easy to use particularly on the stairs or in the MH that the old one does not come out of the utility room very often.

Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
The Dyson DC59, just perfect for the motorhome and Jack Russell hair removal, too small and battery life too short for the home but works well in the M/H.

Dyson in the house but for MoHo we bought a 'second' Dirt Devil. Not cordless but a great little vac and didn't break the bank either.(y)
