have seen a possible funster flag, but last time, I spoke to someone with a smile they weren't members. oops we are on D3 1 orientation of van, only way it would fit, seems to say we want to stay private, not like us at all. lovely sunny day hope it continues us.

Not anymore. We were there for a week about a month ago. A very nice site. Unfortunately our pitch was next to the wall and didn't get much sun. Some very nice tracks and quiet back roads for cycling in the area. Good value meals in the restaurant.

Thinking of booking for Bonterra for a few weeks Jan/Feb. Which are the better pitches and which to be avoided?

We stayed for just a couple of days earlier this year but didn't keep the site plan.

Not sure, we all have different requirements, will be busy at that time and you cant book specific pitches.

The staff at Bonterra will allow you to enter with your unit and then let you loose on the site, looking for any available pitch.
Beware of being top left side of the site (as looking at the plan) because the Sun sets on that side and the high wall there will make for an early shady pitch.Maybe OK in Summer but not now. The green and white pitches to the North of the site should be avoided at this time of the year if poss because there are trees there.
There are two 'roads' running at 90 degs to the main road outside. (roughly N/S) Any of the pitches in the middle of the two roads are OK as is any pitch to the left of the 'left' road, from say pitch '7' counting down to pitch '1'.
The black thick line running up the centre of the plan is a wall but that wall isn't of any size and in certain of the lanes you can 'cut through, (but not all of them) to the adjoining lane.
Plan of the site below. Sorry I've not been able to post the actual plan in the thread. I ain't got the expertise.

We just left this morning and were in row D4 34 and by the west wall so sun all day. Lovely pool and very well kept quiet site. Our walk to the beach was 15 minutes from the van, not the site entrance. Nice supermarket, open all hours type on the way to the beach with everything you could want when the main Mercado shut on Sunday's and Bank holidays.

Just arrived - first visit here - very impressed. Not many Gold pitches available, but we found one to suit us. Turned cloudy and humid this afternoon and a light shower later on. Long journey, so a long lie-in tomorrow. B7/13 but not till mid-day.

Looks pretty busy, but there are spaces and vans coming and going. Still trying to suss out the best spots - in case we fancy a move.
Rain in the night - cloudy but bright this morning.

That was our pitch until yesterday (17th). Had a good 25 night stay and really enjoyed it. Quite a few more places in the town open compared to 4 years ago. Now at Peniscola and off to Albarracin in the morning for a couple of days before we head up for the ferry.
