Anyone been to ypers lately (1 Viewer)

talking to a bloke in the pub last night , he says the unofficial aire down the side of the canel by the menin gate has been closed, anyone know one way or the other, he says there's bollards but I think he must have been coming in the wrong way as there are always bollards at the leasure centre end.

we were there last year so cannot help with your question, but there are bollards near the leasure centre end,
there quite a few houses and businesses on that stretch of road so it would make life difficult for the locals if they have shut it,

We were there last month at the Jeungstadion site and walked past the aire. It was accessible from the Menin Gate end but there were bollards at the leisure centre end.

We we're there beginning of September and walked past campers parked there, access from Menen Gate end open.

We were there middle of August, correct with the bollards. Talking to a regular there who said the locals were aiming to get it shut soon so who knows?

We were there last week. The parking has not changed and you do need to approach it from the Gate end, there are still bollards outside the leisure centre. There is also a camp site around the back of the leisure centre just past and the opposite side to the Aldi.
There also appears to be FREE WiFi around the site.

Hi we have just come back from Germany . Stayed on the mentioned Aires Monday 05 October 2015. No problems, yes bollards are there and a Frenchie parked on the coachpark for the night, not the Aires
