Last year, the Moray Firth coastline was named as 11th best in the world

but we haven't seen a massive increase in tourists since then

Everyone seems to think the west side of Scotland is better:Sad::Sad:

Too far north for us despite us living in Scotland. When we are gonna spend a few ££££££££££££ on fuel and ferries we want to make sure we are getting the sun. Taking the MH to France for the first time later in the year and can't wait.::bigsmile:

On and off for many years.
I love The Black Isle - dolphin watching is relaxing.

DD was based on Lewis for the first two years of her degree and we were there a few times paddling as guest of the canoe club. If you've never been it is worth visiting and to minimise ferry fares go from Uig (Skye) across to Tarbet.

The Orkney Islands are also a "must visit" place for anyone interested in archaeology and one of my favourite places. Not been to Shetland yet but it's on my "to do" list.

I've been lucky enough to travel to lots of places in the UK but there are lots of places I still want to see.

We loved Lewis & Harris when we visited in May 2012 - and the acceptance of wild camping enabled us to stay in the most idyllic spots - entirely on our own :thumb:
