We use the aire at Gravelines which is just a short drive away from the ferry port.

My personal preference is Grand Fort Philippe at 51.00143, 2.10868.
Only 8 slots and no services but a lovely spot to watch the boats go by.

Of course, the most convenient place to stop is the ferry ticket office car park. Hardly scenic but you don't have far to drive to the ferry.

Bergues isn't that far away and almost guaranteed a slot no matter how late you arrive.
Once again, no services.

We usually use Arques aire, about 10 miles from Dunkirk, nice & secure , then on the way to ferry we stop in St Omer for supplies.
but remember aire is locked 9pm ---7am , so ferry needs to be 9am onwards.

We like Grand Fort Philippe too, not far from the ferry. Bergues is another favourite, historic town a couple of minutes walk away. No services there either though.

Very rare to find GFP not full but it is worth hanging about in the hope someone leaves

Gravelines is fuller at weekends for obvious reasons, but is a pleasant spot.

I prefer Gravelines as it's close to the village but Joe likes the chip van at GFP! They do great filled hot bagettes. You get a lot for your money.

That's the one Andy! You get a massive portion of chips for a Moyen (medium). Done me and Denise lunch and dinner and still some got thrown away.

The aire at Oye Plage is handy for the ferries, and strangely enough it seems to get overlooked. we have stayed there and found it very quiet :) (last time only two vans, we are on the right).

I've seen Gravelines aire mentioned many times but there seem to be 2? Which one is it you use, as we'll probably be using the eurotunnel for the first time when we head to Germany next month. Ta.

I think you will find 2 mentioned because the Bourne is not on the marina but just about a mile in land near the gendarmerie and is only a service point.

Parking Place Rue Edmont Rostand (sitecode: 12481)
and
Parking des Islandais (sitecode: 8366)

They both seem to be proper aires but I assume it's the second one which is preferred. But only 13 spaces? Is it usually full??
