Hi, we are traveling to Sheepcote Valley in Brighton on the weekend of 6th-9th Jan with our Lab Collie cross Oscar and was really hoping to book into a show on the Saturday night but obviously can't take Oscar. Does anybody know a trustworthy professional dog minder in the Brighton area that they would recommend? Show starts at 7pm and lasts for 3 hours. We feel quite apprehensive about leaving him with a stranger but would be a real shame to leave him with family at home for the weekend for the sake of a 3hr show. There are lots advertised on the net but would rather have somebody recommended. Thanks in advance Steve

Good luck with finding someone. Have you phoned the site to see if they can recommend someone?

We'd have been happy to help but too far away.

Try putting another thread up in Motorhome Chat as "Pets" is a thread a lot of people may not look at, title something like "Dog minded required for a few hours Brighton area".

Thanks again, have a bit of time so will see how it goes, and maybe move to chat section. Have only started posting since yesterday and never before anywhere else. Have noticed when others have posted topics in sections that are not specific it can be frowned upon. I really appreciate your responses!

I wouldn't worry too much about posting in the 'wrong' section, most members aren't too spiky about these things - although like anywhere there's likely to be someone

@Lenny HB idea of making the thread title more specific is good advice.
