Champagne region? Plenty of nice Aires to stop. Epernay and Reims are both very pleasant. Champagne houses tours are pretty interesting.
We did that a couple of weeks ago. Would recommend Arras and Nancy as well. Lots to look at and lots of nice things to eat.

OK here goes but please no tea and sympathy as I'm a big boy:)

It's hopefully a temporary situation as was on my way for a kidney transplant last year (have two donors) but got Melanoma so cant have one till 2017 all being well. Have had the fistula op 2 weeks ago and will be starting dialysis in new year, later pref to sooner:censored: May even squeeze a break to Beni around Easter like last year, who knows! Have lived with diabetic related kidney failure for 25 years so not doing bad. And if all goes will I will still be under 65 when I can resume again. Have had 25 years of traveling/motorhoming so don't feel hard done by.

With hopefully a move to the coast and a house renovation project on the cards I will be kept busy...

So back on topic:D

Amsterdam may be worth risking.....
