A seat for the navigator when she gets it wrong. It's fixed to the A Frame without wheels to make life interesting.

Best guess is a towed rotivator that a young female could sit on for ballast. It has a mudguard to protect long flowing skirts, so it's probably 19th century.

Interesting item - I've not seen one before. Where did you spot it @Adbt ?

Very very close , the narrowness is a clue to where it was utilised .......

Now you've got me thinking. The styling on the wall suggests it may not be the UK we're talking about, so as a second guess I'm going for an ice breaker, possibly towed by a reindeer? Maybe Scandinavia or Russia? It is a sled after all. Then again, they'd probably just get used to ice and not bother. Hmmm.

i dont think the hook on it would be strong enough for anything as heavey as soil rotivation and they look like blades on the rollers so maybe it cuts slots into something like cloth?although it looks to narrow for a standard width of cloth

Be interesting to know HOW it extracts weeds.
Looks more like a scarifier/aerator to me

Very loose soil between the vines , loose rooted weeds easily turned and exposed. A certain amount of aeration also .

It was stolen off my bike rack at Cite Europe along with my Breitling watch, all the kids IPads (5) and very Euro in cash I had worked for for over 50 years.
I really would like it back as I could not get insurance cover after being gassed every year whilst MH ing in mainland Europe since 2001.
The wife misses it as it gave her plenty of fresh aire during our travels.
Used to fit snugly between the sat dish, and air conditioning unit, by the way, the scroats took those too!
