Or far more likely, as is usually the case, there will have been a number of people abusing it by overstaying their welcome or leaving a mess or otherwise upsetting people thereby forcing the LA into taking action and ruining it for everyone.

Hi.
Mo/ho's going the way of caravans, there were days long ago, when you could park them almost anywhere, then it snowballed and councils rounded them up onto dedicated sites.fact. Fast forward to now and mo/ho's......... It was bound to happen, there are to many, the following is only an observation.
All visitors to Sea side towns spend money in cafes, bars, shops etc,a single decker coach brings up to ..70.. passengers, can drop them off in the town centre and go and park up on a lorry park, that leaves cars and mo/ho's,you can sqeeze more cars in along the front and get more revenue, plus the fact, with the cars being lower, people walking along the footpaths get a view of the sea.
Tea Bag.
PS. In the 50's,we could drive to Skeggy or Rhyl, arrive about 10.00hrs and have a choice of where to park along the front.....Happy days(y)

And what's more I'd like to bet that the occupants of a motorhomer spend less than anyone in a car or on a bus, having all their own food and drink on board.

5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!
The guy At my storage place, is overrun with MH's, so trendy has it become, but of course with trendy comes big numbers and less places to stay.
