I recently posted details of a very good new aire in Palamos, Catalunya.
As we have made our way down the Med coast we have come across another fine example of what a motorhome-thinking owner has been prepared to do for us.
The Aire is in Playa se Tavernes, about 10km south of Cullera, Valencia province. Opened only a month ago it is a motorhomers dream. €6 per night (€9 with elec). The aire boasts hardstandings, showers, toilets and electricity and is literally 50 metres from a fabulous beach which lies just the other side of the dunes.
I will try and forward some piccies.
Owners are motorhomers themselves and recognise the absolute need for such aires in Spain.
Hopefully we will all support such positive thinking.
Area is called La Finca. Will obtain co-ords etc asap.
    Hasta pronto!

Calle de Garbi, Playa de Tavernes.
Can't really miss it. ignore the actual town of Tavernes de Valdigna. Its Playa de Tavernes that you need.

Just having a drink at the reception/bar watching the Clasico (real v barca). Bottle of beer at €1.00.

    Best regards

Personally I believe that they have underpriced. The (very amiable) owners are seeing what their expenses are going to be like after 3 months of ops. They genuinely have no idea what water/elec usage they are incurring. Should'nt be far out though!

Was busy (full) when we got here yesterday. I've seen a couple of pitches available tonight though......
Lots of German and Dutch as their information-passing "grapevine" is top notch!

Speaking with the owner's son, i think that the authorities clamped down on wild campers and appraoched his old man to "look into" an Aire. The old man came up against the usual inefficient Spanish admin but went ahead anyway!
    Viva la revolucion!
