Hi,
I have a tv and 300w mod sine inverter connected through a din socket 12v/120w with a 12v 2 way split for the 2 cig lighter plugs each outlet is 3.5 amps with a 10 amp fuse, i have to confess like this for 4 months have read on here the inverter uses 25 amp is that correct if it is why is it still working?

Many thanks for a bit of advice here,

Bill

Yep, correct.

Tv + satbox total 84 Watts @ 230v = 0.36 amps

But....84 watts @ nominal 12v = 7amps/hour from battery. (Plus inverter loses)
6 hours viewing will ALMOST drain a single 100ah battery to 50%....time to recharge!

Should be ok using the DIN socket as long as you dont plug anything else in as well.
