Another hugh TomTom update (1 Viewer)

Just been asked to plug tomtom into mydrive for 5 updates..... total size of download over 3Gb. good job i am at home on a fastish connection.

well 3 of em must have been tiny cos I just did two updates and they alone were 3.4 gig !!

they need some serious updates, coming back through France we were told to turn down quite a few no entry roads that didn't appear to be recent changes

good point about the place to download though, don't want to be doing that on your mifi

Wow what Tom Tom have you.I've got a Go 700 Europe.just done a download.don't think mine holds 3gig.Thinking of getting a new one.Tom Tom been great no problems. Maps out of date but always check route on map anyway.But at Nec looked at Garmin.Looked good.Any opinions would be appreciated.

I had 3 updates this morning. Two small and one much bigger - but it was a map update so not surprising. Didn't take all that long.

yes one big 3+gigs that was the uro maps the one about 300mb that was the uk then some little bits. They seem to be replacing rather that updating. But as David said doing it on the move could see all your allowance gone and more. But must say the go 1005 model i have which is for caravans and campers etc is very good.

Tomtom release 4 new full map updates per year and if you have a recent purchase it is usually included in the price.....lifetime map updates.

My second map update is about due i think.

Takes around 5hrs minimum to download on a 3 to 4mb connection and another 2 to 3 hrs to transfer.

I am downloading 3 updates now and it is taking 2hrs 30 min, but glad to have the updates
