Well Jon the best way of making Ford listen or any company is to stop buying their products then it would soon be sorted out.

The garage owner here has had an attempted break in or theft of his Ford Transit works van at a race meet. They didn't get in as he has other security features in place (don't know what and wouldn't say if I did) He bought a master key with no questions asked a few months back - which is why he beefed up security on his vans.

How is it their fault? It's a Transit. Not a Bugatti Veyron. If my Suzuki is stolen, can I sue Suzuki?

    Iveco next time!

The latest Ford motorhome bases don't have the drive wheels in the right place anyway!:)

My mate is a locksmith and he says he can get into 95% of cars and vans below £50,000.

I think Ford should take some action as there is a problem here with the locks if they can be picked so easily with a cheap, basic and easily obtained master key.

It ain't just the locks, its the ease with which the OBD port is accessed and used to bypass the electronic security.

The point is that you don't need to be a locksmith to get into these vans. Even I managed to get into my friend's Transit as he watched, with his master key in less than 3 seconds and I'd never done anything like it before.

Aha. So what are these master keys? My Transit is outside, but there's no crime here.

    Jon and she'll,
Do you have actual proof about what you state regarding the correct placing of wheels on the Ford Transit bases?
