What an awesome week, every day is great but today was the icing on the cake of a fab 7 days of cycling. We have done 6 rides totalling 220kms, visiting Guardamar, Torrevieja, La Marina, El Fondo Natural Park, San Fugencio and finally today we cycled to Santa Pola. Santa Pola was lovely with the salt lakes, the flamingoes, the stunning beaches and the palm trees. to cap it off we had coffee and tostada for the bargain price of £1.06!!

Have you been for Paela at Camping La Marina?
On a Sunday lunchtime it's the place to be
The selection on Paelas is amazing and they are all cooked in a wood fired oven
Can almost taste it now !

No, we cycled all around the urbanisation but didn't eat out, only stop off was at the Nags Head to watch the England game. We stayed at a sweet little site called La Escuela, a camperstop with some accommodation too and 2 pools.

It's not in La Marina itself but right on the coast a few KM South
Well worth popping in if you ever get the chance again - famous amongst the local Spanish residents

Sorry you were not able to visit us at Camperstopsierraespuna, our loss as its not open again until December.
We would have loved your company on some of our rides throughout Sierra Espuna, a big, big contrast to your latest batch of rides, looks like you are getting the kms in during this cool unseasonal weather pattern.

You are top of our list for next year as we didn't make it to Cartagena or Murcia either. We spent longer than planned in El Campello and now we're running out of time as we have to be back in Alicante for the Hogueras celebrations this weekend. I could do with some cool weather, I swear the sun follows me for the whole ride and shines straight on my head!!
