Just my opinion but I dont think Dodge are doing themselves any favours with this idea. A Dodge is a Dodge, not a Fiat or Merc. I thought they were loosing there way badging a Sprinter as a Dodge, but a Fiat is going to the extreme.

You are being ripped off in California, it's only $2.09 a gallon here in Mesa, Arizona. Pity I have to come back to reality next week!

I dont think thats quite fair. The Dodge 50 I used to drive in the early eighties was dire - possibly the worst commercial vehicle Ive ever driven, it made ERFs look good.

The hire car I have here is a Chevrolet Impala, Nice drive line and handles ok, but quite crude inside, seats that could have come out of a Cortina GXL and dash plastics that belong in a van and lots of irritating bongs.

If, you like Old Aircraft, Dont miss the opportunity to visit the Pima Air Museum. Parking will take the biggest R-V. And the Size of the place is Vast!. A few old "brits" parked up too, sadly none flying though. We spent several nights on the "Desert Diamond" (Indian Casino, free) in 2013.

Google 32.139643, -110.866090 and have a look?.

Don't the Americans make the best vehicles?
Like trucks that are several decades behind the Europeans!
The good old days eh? They're still living them.

I find that many US made cars are very poorly made, very flashy but crap build quality, we had a top of the range hire car from Denver Airport, we were the first renters, woke up one morning in Afton WY, footwells full of water after overnight rain, windscreen not properly sealed in, had to buy some tank tape to seal the leak.!

There is more than a slight difference in a Dodge 50 and a Ram. I imported the first Ram with the Cummins B series engine that came into the UK. That truck was light years ahead of any European truck and was close on a million miles when I sold it. It was still going strong and as far as I know still is years after I sold it. Stump pulling power and comfort of a saloon car. Some 15 years later I bought another to tow my fifth wheel. Same level of comfort with similar power from a V8 with rear wheel drive. This may sound unfair to a Fiat owner, but thats life.

Dont forget...a US gallon is only 3.8 liters.
Same engine as fitted to the Chrysler 300c saloon and the bhp is around the same.
Mines got the 3 liter V6 diesel at 218bhp
