Try the Public Records Office for research.

WGC website is easy to use to track down war dead.
Not only grave locations, but also gives Service Numbers, which opens doors to medal cards, conduct sheets, etc.

both my shelf and the wee man have been using it to research his family members on his mothers side his granddad's father los his father in Flanders.
a grate granddad we know where the grave is and intend to go at ester to visit both his relatives and my relative last resting place
we have been many times to the menin gate and layed a poppy at the place of my grate uncle but havee never visited any of the graves as we did not know till we started doing a family tree for jay
how many of my family had been killed.
