The term ADR covers a lot of very different processes, from very informal negotiations through relatively informal mediation led by a skilled mediator, to formal arbitration. What type are you looking to use? How much money is at stake?

Having had a look at this process I think I'd be looking at adjudication as it doesn't restrict further action on my part. I don't think the other party would be amenable to mediation.

Adjudication can mean all sorts of things. It has a specific meaning in the construction industry, but a different meaning if your dispute is about a parking charge. Really need some more info about what the dispute is about if you want some advice.

BTW I am an arbitrator and adjudicator and have also acted as a mediator and conciliator in the past.
