How do I look at the co ordinates of an aire online. Ive opened google maps but I cant seem to get it to go to the co ordinates, in fact I cant see the degree sign either to use on keyboard.
How does everyone else do it please.
I'm excited so would love to see some views and even possible streetviews etc of the aires Im looking at.

Google seems to work better if you convert the degrees and digital minutes (N50°59.611, E2°7.910) used in the book to digital degrees (N50.99532 E2.13183) I use a free app on my phone to do the conversion.

The coordinates I've used there are the last ones on the app so they will be for the Pet Passport building at Calais.

If you use something like this, https://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/degrees-minutes-seconds-tofrom-decimal-degrees you can convert a coord in degrees and minutes to a decimal which you can feed straight into Google maps. I can't remember exactly what format All the Aires uses but you will be able to find a tool on line which will convert it.

When you have the decimals just enter them as say N42 E0.5 in the google maps search bar. It will take you to that spot.

You can enter the coords in degree and minutes etc directly into Google maps as the degrees symbol can be entered with an Alt code ° but using an online tool to convert the degrees to decimals is probably easier. Less tapping. :)

Are you sure you need to use it with a converter?

Sandra, my love..... it's no good keep phoning me up and telling me you going abroad... Solution: You need to take ME with you and we would spend so much time laughing we wouldn't care whether we were lost or not ... once I've interpreted the accent. :)

I have a friend who may be able to help you .. do you want me to give them your phone number .. I won't until you tell me to .. (but I've got no phone tonight so you need to tell me tomorrow) .. I am sure you will get it all sorted and like most other things once you have been shown, it will all become simple. x

Have a wonderful holiday. YOu really deserve it. :)

This website will do the conversion you want, but it only takes one set at a time, so you have to do it twice to get both Lat and Long.
    http://www.gpscoordinates.eu/convert-gps-coordinates.php

For example your example of N51° 00.069 can be entered in the top box as N 51 00.069 (note spaces and no need for magic symbols) which returns 51.00115 which you need to add with an N in front of it and can then enter directly into Google maps.
