Alicante to Malaga - fastest route? (2 Viewers)

Hello
I’m driving from Alicante to Malaga this week and can’t decide between taking the A-92 (inland) or A-7 (along the coast). I’ve done bits of both roads before - and both will be pretty drives - but would like to take the fastest route. My TomTom says A-92 …… Anyone driven both the routes and found one quicker than the other?

For me, no brainer. A92 to A45 (or A46 toll) for Malaga City. About 290 miles of which 275 (ish) is motorway/dual carriageway.

We used the inland route on Friday, we have never seen so much snow in the 16 years we have lived in Spain. The roads were clear and the views were stunning, we made the right choice.
