Does anybody know how accessible Alicante airport is for a Motorhome as we are collecting our son from there part way through our October break in Spain, also are there any campsites near there as it's quite a late flight?

Just up the road from the airport is an exibition centre with large carpark, you could stop overnight on that, we have done on several occasions

There is a site near Elche and also one owned by a dutch couple at Crevillente plus several on the N332 alicante to torrevieja road near Santa Pola.
Pity they are not flying into Murcia airport there is a campsite just behind the airport right on the beach

hi griffs, dont mean to but into your thread but i live up the coast and i am always at airport.you got 2 choices depending which road you come at the airport from.if you come along motorway(ap-7)obviously take the sign to airport, you can go straight past the actual airport about 2-3miles.you come to a t-junction(n-332)go straight over the road onto a concreted area(right next to beach).you can park there for the nite free.or if you turn into actual airport keep going straight ahead to terminal 2(t-2).you then turn right across front of terminal then turn right again into small quiet industrial area, which again is free to park with no hassle from the police.hope this helps-maroon
