Presently, exclusively to Funsters, you can get 15% off of THE motorhome alarm system at Link RemovedYou'd need to travel to Somerset, but they have a great campsite you can stop over on. To get this substantial discount you need to have ordered before the 19th Feb and booked in before the end of the month :thumb:

Here is the website for Vanbitz Link Removed and this is their page with Strikeback alarms showing the prices Link Removed

Not cheap but I think you get what you pay for. We had one fitted last year and it is in a different league to the car type that was fitted before to our van.

Ok, spoken to Ashley at Vanbitz and hopefully going to get fitted out next Thursday. He was talking about spending up to a grand but also spoke of the £599 deal less up to 20% discount. Is this alarm system sufficient? I also get to have a couple of crafty nights away on my own as they need van at 08.30 on Thursday so should stay there Wednesday night and of course Thursday after the fit out.:ROFLMAO:

If it's any help, I've just had the Growler fitted and I'm very impressed by the alarm, but the quality of fitting and by the service at Vanbitz. I found their broader advice on other subjects incredibly helpful as well.

The Growler has loud internal sirens as well as external ones, which make it very uncomfortable to stay in the van when they're going off. You can also turn them off, for example if you're arming it overnight when you're in the van. There are bright LEDs externally which do look like they should be a deterrent, plus panic function, locker alarm, bike/accessory loop etc..

we have the standard Strikeback fitted to our last van and the current van. in my view that is sufficient with a few extra contacts for lockers. the additional cash would be well spent on a Tracker with lifetime subscription. which is what we have.:thumb: all fitted by Vanbitz

Stikebak £599 Growler £999...... tracker + lifetime subscription approx £400:thumb:
