Just a thought, now that the European courts have finished with the constant appeals from the likes of Abu Hamster (yes it is a little animal) :winky: does that mean we can go to the courts in the EU and claim it is our right to have Aires all over the country.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

On a more serious note is there any chance that the various clubs which serve our industry
and take our money can get together and ask for a change in the law to include parking for motorhomes on such things as aires in every town. The government I have read recently is giving councils £6,000.00 per caravan space to encourage councils to make sites available for roaming Gypsy families what about us tax paying members of the travelling community.
What do you think? We only need 100,000 signatures apparently to make a demand for this type of thing to go before parliament so we are led to believe is this true??

Perfectly true that only 100,000 signatures are needed.

Also perfectly true that similar suggestions have achieved far short of 1,000 signatures, sorry.

you will find some place have already done it

You will find some place have already done it.. Canterbury in Kent is one I know of that has a purpose made aires for motor homes and has water etc., on the New Dover Road side.. find it on the Canterbury City council web site and no it does not have a height barrier. Good pub and food opposite. Parking includes a bus ride in and out of town.
