Just spent a week on this aire 11km south west of Brive la Gaillard. Never been in this area before and were brought here due to the orienteering event we were taking part in. The whole area is very nice.
There are two Aires along the lake. A small one at the west end with a toilet and grey water emptying area and a larger pay aire on the north east shore. Also many car parks where motorhomes were parked
For anyone wanting to use the pay aire (4 Euros for as long as you stay inside the barriers) here are easy instructions. Drive up to the IN barrier on the right as you approach and next to the machine. Put in a card, select 1 for one jeton, put in your pin number, take the jeton and go round the back of the bollard on the left of the barrier and put on the jeton as shown by the big black arrow. The barrier rises and you have a long time to enter. Two or three can drive through at once! Don't get a jeton for water, its free. For electricity you need one jeton for every 12 hours so go through the same process as for arrival. Once you are inside the aire you can stay for as long as you want it seems, the out barrier is automatic. You would be surprised (or not) at the amount of people who had trouble following the strange instructions on the machine, hence these instructions.
